Punjab Police Selection Rounds 2016: After applying successfully, now candidates are waiting eagerly and working very hard for the selection rounds which will be conducted by the Punjab Police to shortlist the candidates.
At each of the round, candidates will be shortlisted which will participate in the next round.
Punjab Police Selection Rounds –
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
- Physical Screening Test (PST)
- Interview cum personality Test
Note: ****Extra marks for height, performance in 12th (non ex-serviceman) and 10th (ex-serviceman) will also be awarded****
Note: Before these following rounds, candidates have to pass the Substance Abuse Test at Range/Zonal./Commissionerate recruitment center.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Criteria, given below in the table, is must for candidates (both Male and Female) to fulfill.
Physical Screening Test (PST)
This test would be of qualifying in nature. If the candidate fails to complete the required tasks, he would be disqualified from this recruitment process.
For Male (Ex-Serviceman and Non-Ex-Serviceman) and Female, qualifying criteria is different as given in the table –
Note: Both Physical Measurement Test and Physical Screening Test would be conducted on the same day.
Punjab Police bonus Marks (30 Marks)
Following marks would be awarded to candidates as per his/her height and educational qualification, out of 30 marks total. Ex-Servicemen have the right of 2 marks extra, within the total of 30 marks.

Interview cum personality Test (4 Marks)
A separate merit list would be prepared for the candidates who qualify PMT and PST rounds, separately for District police cadre and armed police cadre. Candidates securing higher marks through height measurement and educational qualification will be placed on the top of the list.
Three times candidates of the total vacancies would be called for the interview round on the basis of Statewide Preliminary Merit List.
The Interview cum personality Test Would Be of 4 Marks.
In Interview cum personality Test, certificates and supporting documents would be checked and candidates whose documents are authentic and valid, will be considered for the Final Merit List.
